David Raben, MD

Dr. Raben is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He received his M.D. at Wake Forest University Bowman Grey School of Medicine. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Raben has developed nationally recognized clinical expertise over the past 20 years in the management of head and neck cancer (HNC), lung cancer, and prostate/bladder cancers. He was the first to introduce IMRT for HNC and the first to spare the critical salivary glands and thyroid glands for patients undergoing radiation. Dr. Raben served on the NRG Oncology head and neck steering committee and the planning committee for the ASTRO HNC Symposiums (2014 and 2016). He also served as the developmental therapeutics co-chair at the NRG. He served as an FDA advisor for radiation-related clinical trials.
